Family Learning Network (FLN)

Program Overview:

The FLN program works in partnerships with primary schools within the Playford region and provides well being and behavioral support for young people. 
The program utilises university students on placement to support the needs of young people and families by providing counselling, group work, information and education. 

Eligibility 
  • Primary School students who attend:
    • Elizabeth Downs Primary School 
    • Elizabeth Park Primary School
  • Referrals only accepted by FLN school counsellors
  • Voluntary 
  • No cost
  • Monday- Friday, 9am - 5pm

Family Therapeutic Services:

The FTS program provides counselling and case management support for families and individuals, addressing a variety of issues including: mental health, family conflict, emotional regulation, relationships, abuse, alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, sexuality, conflict, grief and loss and housing.  



Side -Track: Therapeutic Family Intervention (Young Offenders)

Program Overview:

Side-Track is a home-based early Intervention juvenile justice program.

The program aims to:
  • Provide intensive family-and-community based intervention delivered within the home.
  • Address the multi determinants of anti-social behaviour
  • Use the strengths of young person's networks/ systems to facilitate positive change within the young persons environment.
  • Provide parents/ caregivers with skills and resources to address parenting difficulties. 

Eligibility 
  • Young people aged 10 -14 years and their families/ caregivers
  • Reside in Playford
  • Referrals only accepted by: Youth Justice, Conferencing Unit & SAPOL
  • Voluntary 
  • No cost
  • Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm
